Privacy policy
The short version: this is a reading site, not a data business. There are no accounts, no health questionnaires, and nothing here asks who you are. Here's the longer version, in plain English. Last updated 4 July 2026.
Who we are
Weight Loss Clinic Compare ("we", "us") publishes service and price comparisons of UK online weight-loss clinics at weightlosscliniccompare.co.uk. For anything in this policy, contact hello@weightlosscliniccompare.co.uk.
What we collect — and what we deliberately don't
Browsing this site requires no registration and asks you for no personal information. We never ask about your weight, health, medication or eligibility — those conversations happen on a clinic's own site, under its own privacy policy, if you choose to visit one.
- Theme preference. If you switch between light and dark mode, that choice is stored in your browser's local storage on your own device. It never reaches our servers and you can clear it any time through your browser settings.
- Email correspondence. If you write to us, we hold your email address and message for as long as needed to deal with it and keep a sensible record of corrections. We don't add you to any mailing list — we don't have one.
- Server logs. Like almost every website, our hosting provider records basic technical logs (IP address, pages requested, timestamps) for security and reliability. These are kept briefly and not used to profile anyone.
- Analytics. If we enable analytics, it will be aggregate page-view counting to understand which comparisons help readers — not advertising trackers. This page will be updated to name the tool if that happens.
Cookies
We don't set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. The theme preference described above uses local storage, which stays on your device.
Links to clinics
When you follow a link to a clinic, you leave this site and the clinic's own privacy policy takes over — read it before entering any health information. Following an outbound link doesn't give us access to your identity, your order, or anything you tell the clinic.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us what personal data we hold about you (for most readers: none, or a single email thread), ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and object to any processing. Email us and we'll respond within a month. If you're unhappy with how we handle it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
If our practices change — for example, if we add analytics — we'll update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect.
